2014 was a great year for discovering new hair care products for me. As my hair becomes more and more unruly I have been trying out lots of new products to keep it in line. Below is my list of favorite and most used products throughout 2014.
It's A 10 - Miracle Leave In Plus Keratin
This was a sample that I received from Ulta when I purchased some shampoo and conditioner. I liked that this sample was actually full size, and worth $20! I run this through my damp hair after my shower, and then let my hair air dry. I notice that when I used this product my hair feels silky and smooth, and I have significantly less frizz. A little bit of this goes a long way! I have medium length hair, and 1-2 pumps is just enough. I have been using this for quite a while, and I still have about half of the bottle left.
Living Proof Restore Mask Treatment
I also received this as a sample from Ulta. I had never tried anything from Living Proof, but since Jennifer Aniston is the co-founder and her hair is amazing, I thought I would give it a try. After one use my hair was so soft! I use this once a week, and I find that my hair is more easily managed and styled throughout the week. This is a favorite because it keeps my hair soft and silky, without weighing it down or getting greasy through out the week. I am currently on my second sample of this, and will definitely remain a favorite through 2015.
Batiste Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo has been a staple in my hair routine for many years, but in 2014 I finally tried Batiste Dry Shampoo, and I will never go back. These come in lots of great scents, but my favorite is the tinted dry shampoo for brown hair. I use the brown shade in the morning so I don't have to worry about the white tint at my roots, and I use the standard white dry shampoo at night to make sure my hair is refreshed in the morning. These are a great way to freshen up your hair and absorb any excess oil, and also to add some volume.
I purchased this straightener at the end of 2013, and have been using it every week since. This is by far the best straightener I have ever owned. I have used every kind of straightener from a $20 Conair, to an expensive Chi, and nothing comes close to my GHD. It straightens my hair faster and my hair stays straight longer. It may be pretty pricey, but it is most definitely worth it!
