May Favorites

These are all of the things I have been loving in the month of May

1. Batiste Dry Shampoo

This product could easily be on my favorites list every month. I not only use it to control oil between shampooing, but also to add texture and volume to my hair.  These come in a wide range of scents and colors.  Unfortunately I have just used up my favorite scent and color in 'Dark & Deep Brown' so I am currently using the 'floral & flirty blush' scent.  Although this does leave my hair a bit white after using it, I have found that as long as I run my fingers or a comb through my hair afterwards it blends in perfectly.

Another perk of this is that it is only about $7-9!

2. Make Up For Ever Sens'Eyes Waterproof Sensitive Eye Cleanser

This product has quickly become one of my all time favorite products.  Although I don't think this is a good everyday product, since it is about $24 (which is a bit pricey), it is great to remove stubborn and difficult makeup.  I mainly use this to remove my eye makeup when I have a very dark and dramatic eye look, because it easily melts away everything, without irritating my eyes.

3. Too Faced 'Milk Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer'

I had been eyeing this product for a while and finally gave in and picked up the light/medium shade.  I have not been disappointed.  The color doesn't have a lot of red tones, which I have found is a common problem with many other bronzers.  It gives a great buildable color to either give a warm glow or to use as a darker contour. Since this product is made with real cocoa, it also has a delicious chocolaty smell.

4. NARS Blush in 'Deep Throat'

Most of my favorites this month have been new purchases in the last few months, and have become 'favorites' simply because they are new and exciting.  This NARS blush has been a staple in my collection for at least the past year.  It had somehow fallen to the back of my blush drawer (yes, there is a whole drawer), so this month I rediscovered how much I love this blush and the perfect pink glow it gives.

5. Givenchy Ombre Couture Cream Shadow in '#3 Rose Dentelle'

Cream shadow is a must for me.  One of my biggest pet peeves is when I check my makeup after a couple hours and my eye shadow has complete creased and faded.  Cream shadows not only helps your eye shadow not crease and last longer, but it is also a quick way to add color to your eye look.  My current favorite is the Givenchy Cream Shadow in #3 Rose Dentelle.  It is a great mauve-pink shade.  At first I was worried that the darker pink shade would make my eyes seem sunken in and tired, but after using this and blending it with light pinks and mauve shades, it creates the most beautiful subtle smokey eye.  I also like that this product is matte, this means you can keep the eye look completely matte, or pair it with a metallic or shimmer powder shadow.  This cream shadow also has some serious staying power.  There have been a couple of occasions where I have accidentally slept in my makeup (oops!!), and with this I have woken up to perfectly in place eye shadow.

6. Bath & Body Works Spring Candle

No matter the season, I almost always have floral or fruity candles burning in my room.  It could be the dead of winter and chances are I am burning a more spring/summery candle.  So once spring rolls around I am more than excited for the new flowery scents.  Right now my current favorite is the Bath & Body Works 'Spring' Candle.  It is described as "a delicate blend of light rain, yellow daisy and sycamore woods, that contains the freshness of the season".
