This will be the first of many Blog Hops, organized by the Beauty and Fashion Blog Community. Since Thanksgiving is right around the corner, November's theme is 5 Products I'm Thankful For. It took some work, but I narrowed it down to the following five products!
1. Holiday Scented Candles
I am a self proclaimed candle addict, I always like to have a candle burning in whatever room I am in. Although I usually lean towards more flowery and summertime scented candles, when Thanksgiving and Christmas time rolls around my house is filled with festive candles. Some of my favorites include...
Yankee Candle - Crisp Apple Strudel - I will confess, this is actually not my candle, it's my roommates. But I am in love with this scent. We burn it in the kitchen, and when we do it smells like we spent the day baking, and fills the house with a yummy cinnamon scent. I like to burn this along side
Bath & Body Works - Fresh Balsam - Growing up one of my favorite smells was the fresh cut Christmas tree in my family living room. Now that I don't live on home, I don't want to worry about watering the tree or cleaning up fallen needles, I have resorted to artificial trees. I burn this candle constantly during the holidays to give the illusion of a real Christmas tree.
Bath & Body Works - Toasted Marshmallow - This candle has an interesting scent. Most people can't figure out what it is supposed to smell like, but I think it just gives that perfect 'stay home all day by the fire with a book' smell!
2. Benefit 'Gimme Brow' - Eyebrow Gel
This is my everyday, go-to product for my eyebrows. It is amazing what a difference a little brow gel can make. I like this product because it tames and defines my brows without looking unnatural.
Unlike other brow gels, this brush is small, which makes it perfect to follow the shape of the brow without risking getting the product on the skin.
3. Peter Thomas Roth FirmX Peeling Gel
This product is the most amazing/grossest beauty product that I own, it is a peeling gel that literally melts away dead skin. The clear gel is applied to dry clean skin, and as it is massaged into the skin, the dead skin balls up and gets rinsed away. I think I have recommended this product to friends and family more than any other beauty product. I especially like this peeling gel because most exfoliants are abrasive and harsh on my sensitive skin, but this is extremely gentle on my sensitive skin.
4. Clarisonic Plus
I have had my Clarisonic for about a year now and it is one of my favorite beauty tools. Now I don't use it as much for my face as I used to, but since I have the Clarisonic Plus, it can be used on the body. I use the Body Brush Head, Body Brush Extension Handle, and the Refining Skin Polish to exfoliate and smooth my skin. I like to use this at least once a week to keep my skin smooth, especially during winter months, but it is also an essential step in my pre-self tanning routine. Many lotion self tanners will cling to dry skin and look patchy, but with the Clarisonic Plus my skin is perfectly smooth and soft which prevents any patchy self tanning spots.
5. Diorskin Nude BB Creme
This product has been a favorite of mine for a while, but in the last couple months it fell to the wayside as I was trying new and different BB creams. After a chat about BB creams with a friend, I was reminded of how much I love this product! It gives the skin a great healthy glow, while still evening everything out and hiding redness. My sensitive skin loves the gentle formula and the additional SPF doesn't hurt!
